An Interview with Jasmine – Travel Animal Doctor

Good morning! Today Jade has a special guest who she is eager to interview. – Travel Animal Doctor

First she wants you to know a little bit about herself.

I am a rescue from my mother’s veterinary school.

Honestly, I feel like I did the rescuing. My mom and dad would be completely bored without a dog like me to spice up their life. If given the choice of picking three strong personality attributes for myself, I would go with easy going, eager to please, and excited. I am ready to go anywhere my pet parents want to take me, and listen very well (most of the time)!

I used to be afraid of the car when I was first saved, but now I am ecstatic when I get to go on car rides. We always go to fun and exciting places, like the dog park, the doggie spa, hikes, and sometimes even my adopted cousins’ house.

Speaking of my cousins, one of them is here with me today! I wanted to interview Jasmine, a “designer” dog adopted from a humane society in Northwest Ohio. If you like wrestling, do not let the short stature of this Bassador fool you. Her sturdy Basset hound frame and her labrador energy are truly a force to be reckoned with.

Hi Jasmine, how are you today?

  • Great, thanks for asking. This spot, in the middle of the bedroom floor, is the most comfortable place to lay in the entire house.

I bet, it looks absolutely terrific. Where are you from?

  • I was rescued by my pet mom from a humane society animal shelter in NW Ohio. My mom and her daughter came to visit, and I was happy to be one of the lucky dogs to get walked. I rolled in the clover and put my basset hound nose to good use by sniffing the ground. I was excited when my mom came back for me a few days later, bringing with her a big white dog to meet me. Little did I know that this was the day I would get out of the cage forever. The white dog, named Bayer, became my brother.

Wow, that is an incredible story. What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment in life so far?

  • After being rescued, I felt it was only my civic duty to return the favor. My brother Bayer was getting old, and suffering from arthritis. My mom was so happy when I could get Bayer up to play and run around. Rumor had it his other brothers and sisters had recently passed on. I added years to his life.

I bet Bayer loved the exercise. If you could pick three strong personality attributes for yourself, what would they be?

  • I pride myself on my loyalty, being laid back and I am an avid licker (I prefer to call it kissing, since I do it because I am so loving).

You are also a very good wrestler! You take out my tall legs every time. Thank you for spending time with us today. It was a pleasure interviewing you.

I have many cousins who cannot wait to be interviewed.

Stay tuned for another interview on my blog series “We’ve Got Personality”. – Travel Animal Doctor
