The attack of Poseidon continues here at Travel Animal Doctor.
Yesterday we left off with Poseidon the cat as still as a stone under the tablecloth that entangled him. Jade, the lab mix became increasingly interested in the statue with eyes that were fixated on her tail. Poseidon’s plan was thwarted, for the tablecloth seemed to be a little less invisible than what he primarily contrived.
Without warning, Poseidon switched up his plot, and jumped out of his invisible cloak at the coffee table. Attacking a leg, Poseidon kicked and kicked until it seemed that the table called to him, “uncle, uncle, uncle!”
As sudden as the attack began, he stopped with a look of boredom in his eyes. He then turned his attention to the tablecloth that was once cloaking him in what he had originally thought was invisibility. It was obviously the tablecloth’s fault that things did not go as planned. Jade watched in amusement as Poseidon’s pet parents yelled at him to stop biting and clawing the cloth. With a meow of discontent, Poseidon rolled over the table cloth, concocting his next move.
As Poseidon lay overtop of the tablecloth his pet parents groaned in despair. That tablecloth would indeed need washed as soon as this game was over. Too light-hearted to steal the cloth from him now, they watched in entertainment to see what he would do next. Scared of Poseidon, Jade ran for the coach where she could be protected by her pet mother. Her pet father started poking her and telling her to go play. Jade was pretty stubborn, so she sat on her pet father’s hands so it be more difficult for him to prod her. Jade stared at Poseidon to see what he would do now that he was put in his place. What Poseidon did next surprised everyone, as his fierce mood seemed to dissipate into thin air.
In defiance from being yelled at he moved his ears back and glared at his pet parents and sister with vengeance in his eyes. He pushed his chest out proudly as he stared at his pet parents and sister then started grooming his lovely white “locks” and ears. It seemed that his mission was complete and that he indeed prevailed.
How he was the triumphant winner is still unfathomable to all but Poseidon. It appears that perception is everything when striving to fulfill our goals.
Thanks for stopping by to finish Poseidon’s story at Travel Animal Doctor. Have a great day!
