An alternative solution to television is Amazon Audible.
By listening to the books you want to read, you do not have to use those eyes that have been working all day long. Incredibly, by listening to the storyline you can get through large portions of a book you have been dying to read without falling asleep.
Amazon Audible is the perfect solution for a person who is restless but not ready to go to bed.
Audible enables the user to get through a book much quicker than it would take to read one. The best thing about the Amazon library is that it has a vast selection of books to pick from, and has always had the desired book.
Most recently I listened to a book called, Anti Cancer a New Way of Life, through the use of Amazon Audible. The author of this book, a cancer patient himself, offers helpful insight into treatment of the disease through his personal experience.
The author, David Servan-Schreiber, MD, PhD, who was diagnosed with brain cancer, decided to research every possible option that he had to stave off the chronic disease process.
The author researched and instilled many alternative methods of cancer treatment successfully, along with conventional methods, and wrote this book to tell his story.
Diet and Environment
Described within the pages are many natural and alternative methods of treatment including an anti-inflammatory diet and Vitamin D3.
Dr. Servan-Schreiber suggests avoiding the Western diet of bleached flours and sugar that contribute to chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity and cancer.
The diet and environment that Dr. Servan-Schreiber attributes to an anti-cancer lifestyle is extremely healthy, one free of dietary contaminants and atmospheric pollution.
The author openly feared the reactions of fellow scientists and physicians.
However, Dr. Servan-Schreiber still felt that his research into the scientific literature was significant.
At the end of “Anti Cancer a New Way of Life”, the author describes his last appointment with his neurooncologist.
His doctor remarked that it was strange that for such an aggressive tumor, the nature Of the tumor within the author was quite civilized. Embarrassed, his neurooncologist also explained that the author was one patient who he enjoyed seeing because it is so rare for one of his patients to be doing so well.
Overall the book was extremely inspirational. If interested in more about the author, visit Dr. David Servan-Schreiber’s blog.If you would like to try Amazon Audible yourself free for 30 days, click on the following hyperlink for a special deal: Try Audible and Get Two Free Audiobooks.
