Travel Animal Doctor: Oyster Cracker Snack

Travel Animal Doctor: Oyster Cracker Snack

My sister in law, Nicole Claudio, gave me this oyster cracker snack recipe, and it is a really tasty and healthy snack. – Travel Animal Doctor It takes about 5 minutes to prepare. A handful is great when you just need a quick snack between meals. Ingredients: 24 oz. Oyster Crackers 1.5 cup vegetable oil 1 pkg. Original Ranch dressing (dry mix) 1/2 tsp. garlic salt or powder 1 Tbl. dill weed Directions: Mix oil, dressing, garlic salt and dill weed in a large bowl.  Add crackers and stir to coat completely.  Stir occasionally for next several hours. Using a plastic bowl with a tight lid works well as you can shake, roll or just keep turning over the whole bowl.  For best flavor, let set several hours or overnight before eating. I depend on this snack heavily because it is relatively cheap and easy to prepare, it lasts, and it is extremely healthy. Making it myself allows me to be in control of the majority of ingredients used to prepare the snack. It also keeps my husband and I from buying salty snacks from the store with excess fats.
